Deal Eventide CrushStation
CruchStation is a stereo distortion plugin for macOS and Windows. It offers just a single distortion mode but comes with a good range of parameters.
It starts with a Mix control, a classic dry/wet mix control, allowing you to mix in higher and lower octaves to the signal.
Next to this is the drive, which can boost singles from shallow subtle to deep overdrive distortion. Then, the sustain and grit parameters push the distortion effect into fuzz territory. Especially with the grid control, you can add a lot of low-end, gritty texture to the FX.
Sag is a unique parameter that turns the distortion into a broken-like unit. It is inspired by Eventide’s experience of the sound of dying analogue gear: “the power rail sags and the amp starts sputtering, cutting out and sounding ‘broken’.
Eventide CrushStation also has a three-band EQ with bass, mid-frequency, and treble controls to shape your distortion tone. You can gate your signal with the gate switch to tame an aggressive distortion output.
