Ocean Swift Synthesis offers a batch of legacy VST plugins for Windows free of charge. These synths and effects were initially available for purchase until 2020 but are now back with VST3 functionality and huge preset packs to boot.
The VST plugins are Windows only and are provided without any guarantee or support. What you see is what you get!
Ocean Swift Synthesis Legacy suite includes the following plugins:
OSS Enterprise is a hybrid synth with four oscillators, different types of synthesis (additive, vector, virtual analog, and wavetable), filters, envelopes, LFOs, and a multi-effect processor to top it off.
If you feel uninspired, the 400(!) included presets might get your creative juices flowing.
Aeolian Meditation & Dream Box -an additive synthesizer for making otherwordly ambient soundscapes and textures featuring a harmonics mixer, noise mixer, volume modulation, frequency modulation, and more.
The developer calls the plugin a synthesizer playground, and it’s easy to see why. Slap some randomized automation on some of the parameters and hear the rest unfold.
Xbox Control – If you’re bored of your MIDI keyboard and sick of your Xbox games, why not use the Xbox controller as a MIDI controller for both audio and video instead?
This is exactly what this VST does and it works for Xbox, 360, Playstation, and Aimpad controllers.
Shruti Box VST – One can never have too many drone instruments, and if a genuine shruti box is hard to come by, you can get this additive synthesis emulation for free.
Choose your desired tones, control the timbre, and apply chorus and tremolo effects to give the drone some additional movement. A sweet, uncomplicated thing with a no-frills design. Easy does it!
Music handyman toolbox is supposed to be a Swiss army knife-type utility plugin. It lets you determine time, frequency, or even samples in a single measure.
It shows the notes of a musical scale and gets the frequency of a note in different tunings if you need to transpose something.
Music handyman toolbox can also store musically relevant information about your project and work like a notepad within your DAW. You can export this info in a text file within your project folder, which could be neat if you’re going to send the project file to a producer, remixer, mixer, or mastering studio, for that matter.
Downloading the plugins is easy, you just need to enter any email address. The only downside is that the VSTs currently work exclusively with Windows.
