Pladask Elektrisk Flettverk is a new compact experimental touch Synthesizer and processor that creates all kinds of weird noises.

The easiest way is with a synth designed for noise. I have something new for you that fits perfectly. Pladask Elektrisk, a Boutique developer of experimental sound products (pedals, Eurorack…), has released Flettverk, a new Synthesizer capable of making crazy noise.

Flettverk looks lovely and cute with its golden, blue-gold look and pink knobs. But don’t be fooled. It’s got a lot of evil noise power behind it. Pladask Elektristik Flettverk is a touch Synthesizer playable with a touch plate grid.
At its core is an experimental 6-voice sound engine with oscillators and modulation tuned for the upper part of the frequency spectrum. The six buttons allow you to change the mode and connection of the individual synth voices.
With “light on”, you get a more continuously stable sound, while “light off” gives you a more transient and unstable sound. The buttons also interconnect the voices and create interesting combinations, resulting in different pattern behaviors.
With every touch of the touch plate, voices are interconnected and interact with each other, constantly creating new sounds. The developer assures that there is no right or wrong way to use the touch plate. Just press and explore the noisescapes.
Thanks to its original circuit/engine design, the Pladask Elektristik Flettverk is an experimental Synthesizer and a unique, experimental FX processor that can interact with each other simultaneously.
More precisely, it not only mangles your external mono audio signal in fascinating ways in real-time, like a traditional FX processor, but the same audio signal also mangles Flettverk’s sound engine.
It is important to note that Pladask Elektristik Flettwerk is a temperamental device that may respond differently depending on factors such as air humidity, surface condition, skin “quality,” and nearby electromagnetic radiation. So the results may vary where and how you play it.
On the back, you have a 9V power supply input, a mono input, a sum output, and a stereo L/R output.
First Impression
Flettverk looks like a fascinating Synthesizer for noise connoisseurs. Anyone who enjoys crazy noisescapes, swirling fart sounds, and harsh chirping will undoubtedly enjoy this synth. The synth reminds me strongly of the Landscape Stereo Field, which can produce just as beautiful noise around the clock.
