Sinevibes has released Hollow v2 and Luminance v2, vast space and shimmer reverbs, they now run on the Korg NTS-1 mkII and NTS-3.
With the release of the NTS-1 mkII and NTS-3 in 2024, Korg ushered in two things: the next generation of super flexible synth/FX and their Logue SDK. Developers must, however, update the new synth and FX algorithms to ensure that they run on the latest hardware.
One very active developer in this area is Sinevibes. Anyone with a good overview of the available Korg plugins will have noticed that not all are compatible. The list is constantly growing, and two more excellent algorithms are joining it. Sinevibes has just released Hollow v2 and Luminance v2 for the Korg synths.
Sinevibes Hollow v2 & Luminance v2
Hollow v2 and Luminance v2 are new versions of their beautiful, lush-sounding reverbs, which finally run on the latest Korg NTS-1 mkII and NTS-3. Here is a recap for those who don’t know these Korg FX plugins or are new to Sinevibes.
Sinevibes Hollow v2 is a vast space reverb plugin for the Korg Logue platform that uses a feedback delay network with up to 64 connections. It can produce super lush sounds that have an almost three-dimensional reverb sound.
The algorithm also features Sinevibes’ trademarked unison-style modulation with three phase-shifted sine oscillators, adding highly melodic depth and richness. If you are looking for a reverb that can last for minutes without sounding bad, you have come to the right place.
Then Sinevibes Luminance v2 is a lovely original shimmer reverb that can generate ethereal reverbs whose tail gradually pitch-shifts itself upwards or downwards.
Like Hollow v2, it is also based on a feedback delay network but mangled with a granular pitch shifter and chorus-style modulation. The algorithm works great for all kinds of fluffy, atmospheric, dreamy sounds.
Both Sinevibes Hollow v2 and Luminance v2 are free updates for existing users, so all other Logue users can also use version 2 of the plugins. Drumlogue users are excluded from this.
First Impression
I’m happy that both algorithms have made it onto the new generation Korg Logue platform. It’s even better that they’re free updates. I can highly recommend these two reverbs if you want to give your Korg synths and FX a reverb boost.
