Great news from IK Multimedia! Here’s the official release of the TONEX Editor, a free update for TONEX Pedal and TONEX ONE users that significantly enhances the hardware control experience. After a period of beta testing with trusted partners, this standalone application is now available through the IK Product Manager.
The TONEX Editor addresses a key workflow challenge by providing a dedicated interface to manage your hardware library and make real-time edits to Tone Models and presets with a connected TONEX pedal. This allows for seamless preparation of your rig for stage performances.

Enhanced Workflow
The TONEX Editor features a floating window design that allows you to browse Tone Model amps, cabs, custom IRs, and VIRs with direct access to content in both hardware memory and your computer library. The dedicated auto-load button enables quick previewing of any Tone Model or preset before committing changes to your hardware.
For library management, you can choose between a double-column view displaying hardware and software libraries side by side, or a single layout view to access folders, collections, and advanced filters. This makes organizing your TONEX pedals significantly more intuitive.

Part of the Growing TONEX Ecosystem
The TONEX Editor integrates seamlessly with the broader TONEX universe, which has been expanding since the initial release of the TONEX Pedal in 2023. This ecosystem now includes the recently announced TONEX Cab, a portable 12″ FRFR powered cabinet that will begin shipping in April 2025.
Availability
TONEX Editor is included with TONEX version 1.9.0, released today (March 13, 2025). Users can download or update their TONEX Mac/PC software through the IK Product Manager and launch the editor from their applications folder or Explorer.
